
DR WAN JUMANI FAUZI
Wan Jumani Fauzi, is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of English Language, Centre for Modern Languages, Universiti Malaysia Pahang. Apart from teaching English courses such as English for Technical Communication to engineering degree students, she also teaches subjects like Language Awareness and Language Planning and Policy Master’s students taking Master of Science in Technology Integrated Language Learning.
Dr. Jumani has a special interest in (lm) politeness studies, intercultural communication and technology in language learning. Together with her colleagues, she has developed Kindy Talk, specially designed Communication English modules for early childhood educators to use English with their students in their daily communication. Her publications include Latent Impoliteness in Counter Service Discourse (2018), The Effectiveness of Storytelling Module in Improving Daycare Educators’ Confidence and Proficiency in Storytelling in English (2018), Perception of Impoliteness in Counter Service Discourse (2014). She is also a n HRDF certified trainer and a CEFR Master Trainer. Her passion for training has brought her to conduct numerous professional development courses for internal and external agencies such as BERNAS, SUK, MGPS, PPNP, OUM and JKR, particularly on workplace communication and presentation skills.
