The Naza Group of Companies began operations in 1975 as a motor trading company by the late Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin SM Amin. He later expanded the companies in the group to include automotive franchises, property development, engineering and construction and telecommunications.
The late Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin SM Amin is fondly remembered as a visionary who created the largest family-owned conglomerate in Malaysia, the Naza Group of Companies.
Through his passion for cars, in 1975, Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin began the Naza Group’s automotive business from humble beginnings. At the age of 21, he utilised his savings earned from helping his father’s construction business to import used Japanese cars. He was successful in selling off his entire stock within three months. Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin then set up a dealership for used luxury vehicles in Kuala Lumpur.
Naza Group is the franchise holder for Ferrari, Maserati, Koenigsegg, Kia Motors, Peugeot, Chevrolet, Citroën, Brabus, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Piaggio, Vespa, Aprilia, Gilera and Indian Motorcycle brands in Malaysia.

From a humble beginning as a small bookshop selling general titles, MPH has since progressed and grown to become one of the leading bookstore chain in Malaysia, with a total of 27 stores nationwide.
Being a pioneer in the book retail business, the brand MPH has become a well-loved and treasure household name in the country. We were the first book retailer to introduce a megastore concept in Malaysia with the opening of MPH Mid Valley in the year 2000, where shoppers were introduced to services and facilities such as self-service terminals, internet kiosks, reading lounges, a kids’ corner, and a full-fledged customer service.
In early 2000, we embark on journey to into the e-commerce world by launching our very own e-commerce store, MPHOnline.com. Being the first book retailer in Malaysia to venture into the e-commerce business, MPHOnline’s vision of creating a borderless, online bookstore has allowed us to reach customers in places where we had no physical presence. Since then, MPHOnline has succeeded in delivering the retail experience right to the doorsteps of the customers, fulfilling the need for convenience, speed, efficiency, and reliability of our services.
Fast forward to today, MPH continues to bring innovation to book retailing in the digital age by establishing more touch points to connect to our customers through physical and online stores, vending business and soon mobile applications. With the advent of technology today, we aim to adopt an omnichannel retailing approach to provide our customers with a seamless shopping experience.
